Treat Your Dad On Father’s Day

June 6, 2017

We all know that great dads are brilliant everyday, but we love making Father’s Day extra special to remind them how much they mean to us. Whatever you’ve got planned for Father’s Day, check out our ideas and find something to suit your family, whatever your budget.

Great Ideas To Make Father’s Day Special

  1. Send a card from the heart. Don’t worry about whether your card is a high street bargain or a handmade work of art, just make sure that you write a message that makes your dad smile. You might choose a silly Limerick or a simple message of thanks for all that he does for you, but don’t miss this chance to tell him how you feel.
  2. Gift your time. Father’s Day gifts don’t need to be expensive or showy, but if you commit some time to do something with your dad, or to help him out, he’ll know you’ve thought about what he’d really enjoy. Going out for lunch together, or arranging to spend a few hours helping in his garden could be the perfect way to show your appreciation.
  3. Create a handmade gift. Little hands make extra special gifts, so make the most of this by creating a beautiful handprinted mug, t-shirt or mouse mat for a cherished father this year.
  4. Let him lie in. If you share your home with small people, the chances are that dad doesn’t get as much sleep as he’d like. A lie in can be a wonderful opportunity for him to catch up, and he’ll feel extra special if you bring him breakfast in bed when he wakes up, too!
  5. Take him to Trabolgan! Of course, taking your dad to Trabolgan is an excellent way to show him you care. With a huge range of sporting activities and great accommodation and dining choices, you can all enjoy a family break and show dad just how special he is.
  6. Make memories. Look back at your photos of the last year and pick out some special ones that show how important your dad is to your family. Put them together in a frame or album, or run them together and add a soundtrack of his favourite song to create a film to treasure forever.
