How To Make The Most Of Your Holiday Photos
- Edit. Go back through the photographs you have taken and delete any that are blurred or that you know you won’t want to look at again. If you have several similar shots, pick the best one and delete the others, since having too many photos will be overwhelming.
- Share selectively. If you are keen to share photographs on social media, remember that not everyone will have the time – or the will – to scroll through hundreds of pictures! Limit yourself to around 20 photos on your social media page, and then post a link to further pictures on a photo-sharing site for those who are interested in seeing more.
- Think creatively. Grab a photo frame and make a collage of your prints, or use a photo printing website to create a poster of your favourites. You could explore canvases or even create a calendar to share your special pictures with your family, and it’s easy to do online.
- Go traditional. It may seem like an old fashioned option, but a good old photo album is still an excellent way to display your photos. It’s handy to be able to take your photos with you to show to friends or family you are visiting, and it’s a lovely family tradition to keep albums of your family life on the bookshelf for the children to look back at when they’re all grown up.
- Photography competitions. If you’ve taken a really special picture that stands out amongst your collection, you could enter it into a photography competition for a chance to win a prize. Many companies and charities run competitions for amateur photographers, and seeing your photo in print will create another fantastic memory!
