5 Steps To A Happy Halloween

October 17, 2016

Spending a weekend at Trabolgan Holiday Village is always great fun, but when you visit us at Halloween, you can be sure you’ll have a spooktacular time! We have a wide range of activities and sports available for all the family, and our entertainment programme has something for everyone to enjoy.
Whether you come along to one of our fabulous events, or celebrate with the family in the comfort of your home from home accommodation, you can be sure you’ll have a fantastic family Halloween holiday. Check out our top tips for making the most of the occasion and creating a Halloween celebration to remember.

Top Tips For A Halloween Celebration To Remember

  1. Get involved. The kids will enjoy the occasion much more if the grown ups get involved too, so don’t be embarrassed to go all out with the dressing up – or simply don a witches hat if you’re short of time! Whether you’re going trick-or-treating, throwing a party at home, or taking a Halloween weekend break at Trabolgan, it’s much more fun if you get into the spirit!
  2. Attend an event. A well-organized spooky event will get you in the mood for celebrating and ensure that you have shivers down your spine for all the right reasons! Here at Trabolgan, we all love our Dare to Scare Walk, featuring many scary moments as we discover the history of Trabolgan.
  3. Stay safe. If you allow the children to go trick-or-treating, make sure an adult accompanies each group – this will keep the kids safe and ensure the neighbours don’t get too scared!
  4. Decorate. If trick-or-treaters are welcome at your house, it’s a great idea to put out a pumpkin lantern to let them know. You’ll have great fun carving a welcoming face, and your visitors will be glad to know you’re joining in with the celebrations.
  5. Be inclusive. Think carefully about who will be sharing your Halloween celebrations. If you’re buying sweets for trick-or-treaters, try to avoid common allergens such as nuts, and look for options without gelatine in order to appeal to as many children as possible. If you’re catering for very little ones, try to make your decorations and costumes spooky but fun rather than terrifying: you don’t want to give anyone nightmares!
