Birds Of Prey
The Trabolgan Bird of Prey Educational Centre
Our Bird of Prey Centre holds a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence; come and learn about our stunning birds from around the world and you'll know why.
Located up on the golf course within the grounds of Trabolgan Holiday Village, we’re open daily from March to October. Our centre houses birds of prey from around the world and offers the chance to learn about birds of prey and raises awareness of indigenous species and the environmental issues they face. You’ll see falcons, hawks and owls – including the world’s largest type of owl and one of the smallest. Our visitors return year after year to chart the progress of our resident birds as well as meeting the many guest birds of prey we care for from time to time.
For a truly memorable souvenir of your time at Trabolgan, pose for photographs holding one of our birds in our photographic studio. ‘Lucy’, our Little Owl, loves having her photograph taken with younger guests, while our magnificent European Eagle Owl, Oscar, is a firm favourite for the more adventurous!
Residents of Trabolgan Holiday Village can take advantage of our ‘just pay once’ wristband which allows them unlimited entry for the duration of their stay.
Day visitors to Trabolgan can redeem their park entrance tickets for free entry into the Bird of Prey Centre.
Trabolgan Members benefit from half price entry to the Bird of Prey Centre on presentation of their Membership Card.
Whether you’re a resident or a day visitor, entry to the centre for children under 3 years is always free!
The centre is run by state licensed falconers with many years of experience in the handling, training and flying of birds of prey. For detailed information visit the Bird of Prey Centre website.
Kayleigh's Sanctuary for Exotic Pets
For something different, Kayleigh's Sanctuary for Exotic Pets is also housed within the centre and is home to a variety of species, including lizards and snakes from around the world, plus special guests.
On Wednesday mornings and Sunday mornings the centre can open early exclusively for visitors with autism and special needs, who would benefit from a calm and quiet environment in which to view and interact with the birds of prey and the reptiles in Kayleigh’s Sanctuary. The centre is buggy and wheelchair accessible. Pre-booking is essential to ensure privacy and availability. Please feel free to contact us for more details.
